Incognito

The first bottle of incognito® went on the shelves in the Summer of 2007. Starting with just one line and a team of two they were passionately committed to help people avoid insect bites and stings. incognito® insect repellent was born out of the misfortune of its creator Howard Carter, who despite taking both anti-malarial tablets and a deet based insect repellent, was struck by malaria during his travels through India. Six months later, during a trip to Asia Howard suffered again from insect bites, this time with Dengue fever. The experience motivated Howard to invent a truly effective, natural insect repellent which would protect people from insect bites all over the world, incognito® was born! 

Their Mission

Their mission is to provide customers with a 100% natural insect repellent that is as effective, if not more, than currently available synthetic chemical alternatives. Nobody likes being bitten by insects. Not only is it a nuisance and uncomfortable but mosquitoes, in particular, carry potentially fatal diseases like dengue and malaria, the latter responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. Their products have been clinically proven to protect against Zika and malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Using all-natural ingredients also means our range is great for people with sensitive skin and can be used on children from 6 months.

About incognito

They strive to be environmentally and sociably sustainable in every decision they make; from their manufacturing methods to how they package their products. In 2015, they were proud winners of the Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development. Their key line products, including their flagship spray, is packaged in renewable source sugar cane plastic. Traditional plastic manufacturing uses fossil fuels such as natural gas or oil, whereas the renewable sugarcane captures CO2 from the atmosphere, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and making their packaging recyclable. It doesn't stop there, all of their promotional material is printed on recycled materials and they use biodegradable, eco-friendly bubble wrap to protect your orders in the post. incognito® was founded upon principles of environmental and social sustainability and they will always seek to be responsible and fair in their business practices. As a growing business, they are constantly adapting to new challenges and opportunities, but enshrined in their articles of association is a promise to donate 10% of all profits to charity. Over the years they have been proud to support organisations, both big and small, local and global, so that their vital work can continue to reach those most in need.
